Dr. Malika Jindal holds expertise in diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders in adults, children and adolescents. She is a professional with positive attitude. She is calm and composed in handling OPD, IPD and emergency psychiatric patients.
Dr. Malika Jindal has presented a poster on- “Mental Health Literacy Among Healthcare Professionals in a Tertiary Care Hospital” in IPS-NZ.
She has presented paper on- “Prevalence of Nomophobia and Internet Addiction in Population Presenting to Tertiary Care Hospital” in annual meeting of International Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Malika Jindal has done postgraduate thesis on - “Impact of Epilepsy on Patients and their Caregivers.”
She has published a paper on- “Glycemic control in patients with Diabetes Mellitus with Co-Morbid Depression.”
Dr. Malika Jindal has had extensive hands-on training in Consultation-Liaison and Addiction Psychiatry. She has extensive experience of treating patients with various psychiatric disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, headache/migraine, schizophrenia, OCD, drug dependence (alcohol, opioids, cannabis), epilepsy, psycho-sexual disorders and dementia.
Past experience- She has managed patients with various psychiatric disorders with medications, ECT and therapies during her residency in DMC Ludhiana. She has also worked as a Consultant in neuropsychiatry as well as multispecialty hospitals in Ludhiana.
