Kundan Singh, a 49-yr-old man had been suffering from severe stomach pain. He presented to the experts in emergency at Metro Hospital, Palam Vihar, Gurugram; with acute pain in the abdomen & multiple episodes of vomitting since 4 days. He was then admitted to the ICU under medicine care. While he was under evaluation, he was found with acutely inflamed bladder with stones & pus collection in the whole abdomen cavity. This was when we took the patient for an emergency surgery, which was performed laparoscopically, i.e. minimally invasive. The patient was treated successfully, even though in such complicated conditions , it becomes difficult to perform such a procedure. The patient was able to recover much faster too because of this surgery.

Nirmala, a 52-year-old woman had been suffering from knee pain for the last 8 years and was not able to perform her daily activities, due to which she was completely dependent on others. This is when she started consulting with various hospitals who recommended several medicines, but she did not get any relief. Later, the patient was admitted to Kailash Hospital ( a unit of Park Group of Hospitals) in Behror, where after all the investigations, the patient underwent B/L knee replacement surgery. The surgery was successfully completed in just 3 hours and the patients was able to walk in 12 hours. The patient was surprised by the result and expressed her gratitude as she could not have imagined that she would walk so soon. There is a lot of fear & stigma in the society about knee replacement surgery, like the duration of rest, the increasing pain, etc. But this was a successful case in which just 12 hours post surgery, the patient was able to walk comfortably.
