Nirmala, a 52-year-old woman had been suffering from knee pain for the last 8 years and was not able to perform her daily activities, due to which she was completely dependent on others. This is when she started consulting with various hospitals who recommended several medicines, but she did not get any relief. Later, the patient was admitted to Kailash Hospital ( a unit of Park Group of Hospitals) in Behror, where after all the investigations, the patient underwent B/L knee replacement surgery. The surgery was successfully completed in just 3 hours and the patients was able to walk in 12 hours. The patient was surprised by the result and expressed her gratitude as she could not have imagined that she would walk so soon. There is a lot of fear & stigma in the society about knee replacement surgery, like the duration of rest, the increasing pain, etc. But this was a successful case in which just 12 hours post surgery, the patient was able to walk comfortably.
